On one of my many little trips to downtown Las Vegas I stumbled across this amazing antique store, Vintage Vegas. I was shocked to see so many amazing antiques through out the store. I could not wait to share with you all vintage items for sale. Part of me felt like I was in a time machine sent back to a simpler time. The other part of me felt like I was walking through a museum with price tags on all the artifacts. The store is easy to get to right of Main street on the locally known Antique Alley. I hope you guys enjoy and please know that my video does not do the store justice so please check them out for yourself. Please comment and subscribe. Tell me where I should check out next. Check them out when your in town Vintage Vegas 1229 South Main St. Las Vegas, NV 89084 (702) 539-0799

Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #170! People are always asking me if there are any ghost towns near Vegas. Unfortunately, because of rampant development in recent years, all the authentic old-timey stuff in the area has been bulldozed to make way for casinos and football stadia :-( But, we do have this charming little fake ghost town down by Lake Mojave -- just 45 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip! Techatticup (also known as Nelson or El Dorado Canyon) is the site of a historic gold mine (which you can tour!), and the owners have amassed an extraordinary collection of old cars, trucks, busses, antiques and mining equipment, strewn about the grounds amid a gathering of old wooden shacks and buildings. This is without question one of the coolest things to do within an hour's drive of Vega...

Extras help make the Clark County Museum an enjoyable visit. For instance, you can see the Las Vegas Valley's last air raid siren, which used to sit at Tom Williams School in North Las Vegas; an ore wagon from Sandy Valley; the last original fire hydrant in the City of Henderson from the 1940s; a mailbox and more. Visiting the museum costs just $2 and is open seven days a week, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For additional information, please call (702) 455-7955 or visit www.ClarkCountyNV.gov.
Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #169! I've lived in Las Vegas for 17 years, and it's a love-hate relationship. But while there are certainly MANY things to hate about living here....there are also a few very compelling aspects to life in Vegas -- and that's why I've stayed! Most important to me the proximity to open spaces -- for a fairly cosmopolitan city of 2 million people, it's astonishingly easy (and fast) to get out into the wilderness...even from the dead center of town! In this video I show what happens when you drive for 30 minutes in each direction -- north, south, east and west -- from the intersection of Flamingo Rd. and Las Vegas Blvd., a/k/a the Four Corners of the famous Las Vegas Strip...which is dead center in the middle of town. Let's go! life in vegas, living in ...

Brandt discusses the fairly rare pottery of John C. Waelde from North Bay, NY, made around the third quarter of the 19th century. This is probably the finest grouping of North Bay stoneware ever to be included in a single auction, and it will all be offered as part of our November 2, 2013 auction of American stoneware & redware pottery. http://www.crockerfarm.com
